Full Job Description

Sales and Marketing

JIE Africa is the newly established African branch of JIE China, a global manufacturer of industrial electric motors and power transmission solutions. Our mission is bold: Build a strong African footprint Professionally.

We are seeking a high-impact Sales & Marketing Candidate to spearhead growth across South Africa and the African continent, establishing a large footprint / company as our subsidiary plants across the world.

Salary: Depending on experience.

Requirements:

Drive sales of industrial electric motors and related JIE products across Africa.
Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies.
Manage and drive Product Exhibitions.
Focus on in-depth B2B sales, negotiation, and securing sales.
Establish and manage distributors, agents, OEMs, and EPC relationships.
Identify new markets, projects, and strategic partnerships.
Conduct solution-based, technical sales engagements.
Represent JIE Africa at exhibitions, client meetings, and industry events.
Contribute to the rapid scaling of the business from inception.
Maintain a favorable business relationship with new and existing customers and suppliers.
Selling products and services to prospective customers.
Set up sales product portfolios, systems, and marketing strategies.
Performing cost-benefit analysis of existing and potential customers.
Reach out and respond to customer leads.
Coordinate sales efforts with team members.
Keep up to date with best practices, promotional leads, and new technology.
Strong focus on marketing and brand-building since it is new to everyone.
Continuously improve your own and JIE Africa’s performance.

Technical Advantage (Highly Preferred)

Knowledge of industrial electric motors, gearboxes, drives, or power transmission Experience with or exposure to brands such as:

SEW-Eurodrive o Bonfiglioli
STM
Nord, Siemens, ABB, WEG
Ability to engage confidently with engineers, plant managers, and maintenance teams

Education

Diploma or Degree in,
Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical) or
Sales & Marketing, or
Business
Technical qualifications are a strong advantage

Experience

5–10+ years in industrial or technical sales
Proven success in territory or market development
African sales experience is a major advantage
