Job Description
Join Sage as a Channel Renewal Advisor on a contract basis and help drive the success of our Business Partner community by securing renewals, strengthening partnerships, and supporting sustainable growth across our channel network.
Your contributions will have a direct impact on the organisation’s bottom line by driving customer retention, facilitating migrations, and achieving or exceeding revenue targets on annual business partner renewals.
Success in this role depends on strong collaboration both across internal business units and externally with customers and Sage Business Partners.
The ideal candidate will have 2 - 5 years of outbound sales experience, preferably in a call centre or customer-facing role within the software technology sector. A demonstrated history of consistently meeting sales targets, along with proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM systems, is essential. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
Location: Midrand, Johannesburg (Hybrid: Minimum 3 days per week on-site.)
Key Responsibilities

Ensure business partner renewal queries are responded to ethically within the specified turnaround time while maintaining the highest levels of service and customer satisfaction
Ensure that all revenue targets and retention rates are met and exceeded
Maintain productivity targets including outbound and inbound calls reactively
Ensure business partner churn is documented and accurately reported monthly for annual customers
Drive sales appropriate campaigns into customer base to effectively increase retention
Take personal accountability to ensure product knowledge and mandatory training is up to date

Starting off in the role will see you being upskilled and trained on the features, benefits, and applications of our products/services and understanding of Salesforce, NetAdmin and Accpac functionalities.
Initially, you will work onsite every day. However, based on the targets you achieve, you may transition to working onsite 3 days a week, with Monday to Wednesdays being the mandatory days.

You will join a team of 5 Retention Advisors, and will work closely with other Retentions Teams and colleagues across the business in supporting our overall efforts to retain our customer base.
You will report to a Sales Retentions Manager who has a successful track record of growth within our business.

2 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Experience in a B2B sales environment, knowledge of Software Sales and understanding of customer needs and pain points as well as a good understanding of the Sage 50 and Sage Pastel Payroll product offerings will ensure you stand out from other candidates.
