We’re working with a growing technology business that is building a new Business Analysis and Transformation function. This is an opportunity for an experienced BA to play a key role in shaping the function from the ground up, with the potential to build and lead a team as the business grows.

This is not a traditional requirements-gathering BA role. The focus is on understanding how a business operates, identifying areas for improvement and translating those challenges into technology solutions that deliver genuine commercial value.

You’ll initially spend around 80% of your time with a new, key client, supporting a major business transformation and software modernisation programme, with the remaining time focused on extending an existing software product for another client.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with stakeholders from C-suite through to operational teams to understand business objectives, processes and challenges.
Analyse current processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, business cases and supporting documentation.
Work with Product Owners and development teams to prioritise requirements and maintain a delivery-ready backlog.
Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Support QA, UAT and solution validation to ensure delivered functionality meets the original business requirements.
Identify risks, blockers and dependencies and ensure they are addressed effectively.
Help establish best-practice BA processes and contribute to building the wider BA function over time.

What We’re Looking For

5+ years’ experience in Business Analysis or a similar technology-focused role.
Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements within software development or transformation environments.
Good understanding of Agile/Scrum and the software development lifecycle.
Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to understand the value technology can deliver to an organisation.
Experience across business domains such as finance, retail, wholesale, e-commerce, warehousing or supply chain would be advantageous.
Comfortable communicating with senior executives as well as operational teams.
Strong understanding of how business requirements translate into software solutions.
A proactive, commercially minded “make it happen” approach.
Modern and dynamic thinking, with the ability to challenge existing processes and identify better ways of working.

Pay: R75 000,00 - R80 000,00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Pretoria, Gauteng
