Job Title: Designer, Digital & Print
Reports to: VP, Operations & Marketing
ABOUT THE ROLE
Currency Research is the trusted, independent network connecting the global currency and payments community — convening central banks, finance ministries, security printers, payments vendors, and innovators through world-leading conferences, publications, and research.
We are looking for an experienced designer to own the visual output of the CR brand across digital and print. You will bring fresh thinking and high craft to our website, event materials, and brand communications — building on a strong foundation and continuing to evolve our visual identity as CR grows.
You will work remotely as part of a small, close-knit team, managing your own workload against hard event-driven deadlines and taking full ownership of your output from concept through to delivery.
WHAT YOU’LL DELIVER
Digital & Web
- Own the visual design and user experience of the CR website, ensuring every page is engaging, easy to navigate, and effective for our audience
- Apply UX thinking to how visitors move through the site — considering content structure, navigation patterns, and how design choices shape behaviour
- Ensure all web pages are responsive and perform well across mobile and desktop
- Optimise all web assets for performance: correct formats, compression, and sizing
Print & Events
- Design conference brochures, sponsorship prospectuses, programmes, delegate packs, and post-event reports that reflect the calibre of our events and audience
- Create all on-site print materials — stage graphics, banners, signage, delegate badges etc…— to a standard that holds up in front of a senior international audience
- Source and select imagery appropriate to each project and audience
- Deliver print-ready files that meet vendor specifications
Brand & Graphics
- Produce social media assets, email graphics, advertising creative, presentation templates, flyers, and other branded collateral that are consistently on-brand and visually sharp
- Manage the Premagic AI photo delivery platform for each event, including gallery branding and sponsor and speaker integration
As part of a small remote team, you will also take on other duties as reasonably requested — CR is a collaborative environment where everyone pitches in.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who has already done impressive work and can prove it. You have a strong portfolio spanning digital and print, you have delivered under real deadlines, and you have worked independently without close supervision.
You understand that design is communication, and you bring that thinking to every project. You are as comfortable building a website as you are laying out a 40-page conference brochure. You have a genuine UX sensibility alongside strong aesthetic instincts, and you take ownership of the full production process — from sourcing imagery to delivering final files.
Experience working remotely with hard deadlines is essential. Our events do not move.
