About the Role
We are a highly experienced veteran of the industry signage and print business based in Midrand, looking for a highly skilled, disciplined, and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our team long-term.
This is not a generic design role — we are looking for someone who understands how to create visually striking designs that translate into real-world production, including signage, large format print, laser cutting, and CNC routing. We are need a solution driven designer who will work closely with our production and specifying team but be able to independently create options for our clients. The incumbent must also be able to produce DTP layouts and have some experience in large format printing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design high-impact visuals for:
- Signage (indoor & outdoor)
- Vehicle branding and wraps
- Large format digital print
- Shopfronts and commercial branding
- Stickers and labelling
- Trophies and related products
- Display items
- Prepare print-ready and production-ready files (correct sizing, bleed, DPI, materials awareness)
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are feasible and efficient to manufacture
- Create concepts that balance creativity with practical application
- Assist with:
- Website design and updates
- Social media content and digital marketing visuals
- Maintain organized file systems and adhere to internal workflows and deadlines
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design or similar
- Proven experience in signage and digital print design
- Strong understanding of:
- Print processes and materials
- Large format production requirements
- Designing for laser cutting and CNC/routering
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in one or more of the following programmes:
- Coreldraw
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe InDesign
- Ability to create accurate, production-ready artwork
- Basic to intermediate web design skills (advantageous)
- Experience with social media design and branding consistency
