We are seeking a dynamic, professional and technically minded Business Development & Solutions Consultant to drive client acquisition, build strategic relationships and support the growth of the business across multiple industries.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, engaging with decision makers and positioning Valora Advisory’s consulting and technology-driven solutions within the market.
This role requires a strong combination of sales ability, business acumen and technical understanding to effectively communicate solution value to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across targeted industries
- Generate and qualify leads through networking, outreach and relationship building
- Conduct client meetings and presentations with senior decision makers
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Prepare proposals, quotations and client engagement documentation
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Negotiate and close new business deals
- Maintain accurate pipeline and CRM reporting
Client Engagement
- Understand client operational challenges and business requirements
- Present Valora Advisory solutions in a professional and consultative manner
- Assist in defining client pain points and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Coordinate with management on solution positioning and implementation discussions
Technical & Consulting Support
- Maintain a strong understanding of:
- Business process optimization
- Workflow automation
- Data analytics
- ERP/CRM systems
- Digital transformation solutions
- Work closely with internal teams during proposal and implementation phases
- Support initial solution scoping discussions with clients
Market Development
- Build strategic relationships with potential partners and stakeholders
- Attend networking events and industry engagements
- Contribute to marketing and brand awareness initiatives
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
Minimum Requirements
- 3–5 year’s experience in sales, business development or account management
- Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Preferred
- Experience within:
- IT solutions
- Technology sales
- Business consulting
- Automation solutions
- SaaS/software sales
- Corporate B2B environments
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Professional and confident client engagement ability
- Good understanding of business operations and technology solutions
- Valid driver’s license
- Own reliable vehicle
- Willingness to travel for client meetings when required
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience using CRM or project management platforms is advantageous
Preferred Technical Background
Candidates with exposure to any of the following will be highly advantageous:

Salary & Benefits
Compensation Structure
- Basic Salary: R12,000 – R17,000 per month cost to company
- Commission Structure:
- 5% – 10% commission on successfully closed new business deals

Reporting Structure
The Business Development & Solutions Consultant will report directly to the Founder & CEO and will play a key role in the growth and expansion of Valora Advisory.
