Full Job Description

DEBT REVIEW AGENT

Randburg, Johannesburg

Salary: Basic + Uncapped Commission

JOB ROLE

To recover outstanding debt from deceased estates and consumers under debt review by negotiating appropriate repayment arrangements, maintaining professional customer relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and achieving collections, quality, and productivity targets in accordance with company and client requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Matric qualification is mandatory.
Relevant tertiary qualification is an advantage.
Minimum 1 year experience in debt review & deceased estate, legal collections in a financial

industry.

Understanding of debt collection regulations and compliance requirements including the Debt

Collection Act (DCA), National Credit Act (NCA), and Protection of Personal Information Act

(POPIA).

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
Proven ability to make targets.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, and company policies
Facilitate the recovery of outstanding debt in accordance with legal and company requirements.
Follow up on outstanding accounts and recovery actions to achieve collection targets.
Generate COBs, Account statements, Paid-up Letters and provide regular accounts updates.
Investigate and resolve account queries, disputes, and customer complaints.
Liaise with Estate administrators, debt counsellors, clients, and other stakeholders regarding account matters.
Monitor legal proceedings and ensure accurate account updates and record keeping.
Prepare, process, and maintain legal and collection-related documentation.
Track payments and ensure accurate allocation and reconciliation of accounts.
