Desired Experience & Qualification Minimum Requirements Qualifications Essential BCom Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification. Registered with SAICA or SAIPA. Advantageous Honours Degree in Accounting or related field. Experience Essential 2–3 years’ post-articles experience. Proven experience in financial reporting and financial analysis. Strong experience working with large data sets and financial modelling. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis. Advantageous Experience working with SAP, QlikView, or similar ERP/reporting systems. Previous team leadership or supervisory experience. Technical Competencies Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Knowledge of SAP, QlikView, or related financial systems will be beneficial. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful insights to support strategic business decisions. Compile management reports and dashboards for senior leadership. Perform detailed financial analysis using large data sets and advanced Excel functionality, including pivot tables and data modelling. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through ongoing financial review and analysis. Budgeting & Forecasting Assist in the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, highlighting key deviations and recommendations. Work closely with departmental stakeholders to support financial planning initiatives. Financial Controls & Compliance Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, financial regulations, and internal controls. Maintain accurate and complete financial records and supporting documentation. Support audit processes and ensure audit readiness. Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems, controls, and reporting processes. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and interpret financial information. Present financial information clearly and professionally to non-financial stakeholders. Provide financial guidance and support to operational teams where required. Team Leadership & Development (Advantageous) Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to junior finance team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
