Your mission as a Workshop Supervisor

Epiroc is looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to oversee daily workshop operations, uphold world-class safety and quality standards, and deliver exceptional service on OEM machinery. What you'll do:
- Supervise daily workshop activities, including maintenance, repairs, and machinery rebuilds, planning, scheduling, and allocating work to technicians while ensuring efficient workflow and optimal resource utilisation
- Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programs, provide technical guidance on diagnostics and repairs, and ensure adherence to Epiroc OEM specifications before releasing equipment
- Enforce strict compliance with HSE policies, conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks, and drive a zero-harm culture across the workshop
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to minimise rework, defects, and warranty issues, ensuring all work meets Epiroc's quality standards and customer expectations
- Monitor and control tools, equipment, and consumables, coordinating with procurement and stores to ensure availability of spare parts while preventing losses, damage, and misuse
- Lead, motivate, and develop workshop staff, managing performance, identifying training needs, and fostering teamwork and accountability
- Track KPIs such as turnaround time, productivity, and downtime, while driving lean workshop principles and operational excellence initiatives
What you'll bring:
- A relevant Trade Certificate (Fitter, Millwright, Diesel Mechanic, or similar) is essential; a supervisory or management qualification and HSE certifications (SAMTRAC, NOSA, or equivalent) are advantageous
- 5 to 10 years' experience in a machine workshop or heavy equipment maintenance environment, with at least 2 to 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and MRO of mining or construction machinery, plus the ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
- Experience with ERP/CMMS systems (SAP, Pragma, or similar) and a solid grasp of inventory control and spare parts management
- Proven success in improving workshop performance, safety, or efficiency, backed by strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
