Export Controller

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to liaise with nominated shipping lines and ensure the correct management of export documentation for all contracts.

Key Job Outputs

Liaise with nominated shipping lines, including booking cargo.
Execute planned loading of export contracts with service providers.
Execute instructions to the clearing agent.
Draft export documentation accurately, check documentation and forward export draft documents to customers for final approval.
Submit LC/CAD documents to the bank within required KPIs.
Maintain continuous professional communication with international clientele regarding contract status updates and shipment details.
Monitor the delivery and return status of containers.
Maintain continuous communication with service providers.
Manage export documentation for all contracts.
Live and breathe the company values.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Incoterms and LC knowledge are essential.
At least 5 years’ experience in shipping and export control.
Export qualifications will be beneficial.
Knowledge of customs clearing and forwarding.
Experience in customer relations and customer interactions.
Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook at intermediate to advanced level.
ERP system experience will be beneficial.
