IT Specialist
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled, proactive, and detail-oriented IT Specialist to join our team and manage the organization’s technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively to ensure efficient and secure IT operations across the business.
This role requires a professional individual who is adaptable, solution-driven, and capable of handling multiple IT responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems
- Provide technical support to end-users and resolve IT-related issues efficiently
- Monitor system performance and ensure systems remain secure through regular updates and patches
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, backups, and IT documentation
- Assist with IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements
- Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices
- Diagnose technical faults and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime
- Ensure data protection, cybersecurity, and system reliability standards are maintained
- Collaborate with internal departments to support operational and technological requirements
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle required
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar technical role
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency in Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, networking tools, and general IT systems
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection practices
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco (CCNA), Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), or equivalent
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python or PowerShell
- Familiarity with system administration, networking, and troubleshooting methodologies

Salary
R5,000 – R15,000 per month
