Full Job Description

Qualifications:National Diploma or BTech in Civil Engineering / Construction Experience:Minimum 5 to 8 years of active site management experience in residential or mass-housing construction.

Manage day-to-day building activities for housing units from foundation to hand-over.
Set production targets, monitor construction programs, and manage material delivery schedules.
Interpret architectural and structural building plans
Community & Stakeholder Liaison: Facilitate communication with the local municipal project managers, community liaison officers (CLOs), and ward councilors.
Manage local labor-intensive construction methods and local sub-contractor allocations in line with project goals.
Handle community grievances or labor disputes on-site using fair labor practices.
Quality & Compliance Control: Ensure all housing units strictly comply with the National Building Regulations, NHBRC guidelines, and government housing specifications.
Implement quality control plans to minimize structural defects.
Safety, Health & Environment (HSE):Enforce site safety rules and OHSA regulations.
Conduct daily toolbox talks and maintain incident logs

Minimum Requirements

Proven track record in managing community-driven or government-subsidized infrastructure projects.
Skills:Strong working knowledge of local labor regulations and general conditions of contract (e.g., JBCC).
Valid driver’s license.

Pay: R12 500,00 - R16 000,00 per month
