Job Description: Waiter/Waitress

Job Title: Waiter/Waitress

Job Summary:
We are seeking friendly, professional, and customer-focused Waiters/Waitresses to provide excellent dining service to our guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Present menus, explain menu items, and make recommendations when requested.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them promptly to the kitchen and bar.
Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring presentation and quality standards are maintained.
Check on guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and respond promptly to requests.
Clear and reset tables in preparation for new guests.
Prepare and present bills, process payments, and provide accurate change or receipts.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, service stations, and equipment.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations at all times.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient service.
Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and cleaning service areas.

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays safely.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Must be South African or have valid work documentation to work in South Africa
