Job Summary:
We are seeking friendly, professional, and customer-focused Waiters/Waitresses to provide excellent dining service to our guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Present menus, explain menu items, and make recommendations when requested.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them promptly to the kitchen and bar.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring presentation and quality standards are maintained.
- Check on guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and respond promptly to requests.
- Clear and reset tables in preparation for new guests.
- Prepare and present bills, process payments, and provide accurate change or receipts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, service stations, and equipment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations at all times.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient service.
- Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and cleaning service areas.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays safely.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Must be South African or have valid work documentation to work in South Africa
