The Payroll Administrator will play a crucial role in accurately preparing and reporting payroll data, ensuring prompt payments, and upholding compliance with relevant regulations. This pivotal position supports informed decision-making across two entities within the esteemed Afrika Tikkun Group.
Core Performance Areas and Payroll Compliance:

Efficiently manage and maintain the Employee Self Services System.

Collaborate closely with the Human Resources department to ensure meticulous maintenance of employee records.

Actively participate in the budgeting process for staff costs while performing comprehensive variance and trend analyses.

Demonstrate precision and accuracy in calculating net payments, submitting timely earnings schedules to the treasury for payment.

Effectively handle SARS schedules, returns (including EMP201 & EMP501), and ensure the punctual submission of PAYE, UIF & SDL to the treasury.

Conduct meticulous monthly, annual, and bi-annual PAYE reconciliations to SARS.

Skilfully manage workmen's compensation reconciliations, return submissions, and payments.

Maintain staff loans and diligently oversee deductions.

Provide valuable advice on leave entries, balance tracking, and ensure meticulous capture of this information in financial records.

Administer full payroll operations for staff, ensuring accurate capture of all payroll-related earnings and deductions.

Conduct thorough payroll reconciliations to ensure data integrity.

Regularly update employee records with SARS and liaise proficiently with the relevant authorities on all payroll-related matters.

Skilfully prepare and submit IRP5 to both SARS and staff members.

Ensure that all personal information affecting earnings and deductions is accurately recorded in personal files, duly signed by employees and the CEO before integration into individual payrolls.
Qualification and Experience:

Matric (Grade 12).
-
Payroll/ Financial Management Degree or equivalent qualification.
-
A minimum of eight to ten (8-10) years’ experience in a similar role with a proven track record.

In-depth understanding of payspace (Deel Local Payroll).

Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and processes.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a strong command of payroll/accounting packages, including Sage Intacct, Pastel, Sage VIP Payroll, Pay scale, Signify HR, and LMS, VIP Payroll and Sage 300, Accpac, PaySpace.

Experience in the payroll of wages and salaries of 2500+ employees (large payroll).

Proficiency in using Payroll software (Extensive experience on PaySpace).

Good understanding and knowledge of all the appropriate Acts (LRA, BCEA, OSHA, COID, EEA, SDL).

Advanced Excel skills required & proficiency in Microsoft office suite.

Good accounting, tax knowledge (tax directives), exposure to E@syfile and SARS E-filing.

Knowledge and experience of EMP201 returns and EMP501.

Income codes knowledge.

Knowledge of Medical aid, pension/provident fund, employee benefits, UIF, SDL & compensation programs.

Journal and reconciliation experience (non-negotiable).

Experience with time and attendance software.
