Responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging English lessons for Grade 8 and Grade 9 learners in accordance with the curriculum requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver effective English lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
Teach language, literature, comprehension, grammar, creative writing, and oral communication skills.
Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, assessments, and examinations.
Assess, record, and monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and abilities.
Maintain accurate learner records, marks, attendance, and reports.
Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and disciplined classroom environment.
Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and a love for reading and language.
Support learners academically and provide additional assistance where necessary.
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding learner progress.
Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher meetings, and school events.
Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum planning and school initiatives.
Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards.

Knowledge of CAPS.
Valid police clearance/background checks where required.
