Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced BOP, Coal, Ash & Limestone (BMS) Quality Inspector to support quality assurance and quality control activities on Balance of Plant (BOP), coal handling, ash handling, and limestone handling systems within a power station environment. The successful candidate will ensure that maintenance, overhaul, installation, commissioning, and inspection activities comply with engineering specifications, recognised industry standards, and client quality requirements.
This role requires a senior mechanical quality professional with extensive experience in power station maintenance, rotating equipment, engineering quality control, reliability engineering, and mechanical plant systems.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- SAIW Welding and Fabrication Inspector Level II.
- N6 Diploma and Trade Test Certificate or National Diploma in Engineering.
- Diploma or Certificate in Total Quality Management.
- Certificate in OHSE, SAMTRAC, NOSA, NEBOSH, or an equivalent health and safety qualification.
Minimum Experience
Applicants must demonstrate:
- A minimum of 15 years' post-apprenticeship experience.
- At least 10 years' supervisory experience in plant maintenance.
- A minimum of 10 years' engineering quality control experience.
- At least 10 years' power station maintenance experience.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in chemical and water treatment plants.
- Proven commissioning and decommissioning experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspections on BOP, coal, ash, and limestone handling equipment.
- Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, quality procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Inspect rotating equipment, conveyors, crushers, pumps, compressors, valves, gearboxes, and auxiliary mechanical systems.
- Witness equipment alignment, pressure testing, commissioning, and decommissioning activities.
- Conduct supplier quality inspections and support quality audits.
- Perform root cause and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor maintenance quality through SAP PM work management processes.
- Compile inspection reports, quality records, and non-conformance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, project specifications, and client quality requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and quality performance.

Remuneration
A competitive remuneration package will be offered based on qualifications, specialist expertise, and demonstrated experience.
