Full Job Description

Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Administrator/ Assistant to support the day-to-day Human Resources function. The successful candidate will assist with recruitment, employee relations, payroll administration, training coordination, record keeping, and general HR support while ensuring compliance with company policies and labour legislation.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with recruitment, onboarding, inductions, and employee documentation.
Support disciplinary, grievance, and employee relations processes.
Maintain accurate employee records, HR files, and confidential information.
Assist with payroll preparation, time and attendance administration, and leave management.
Coordinate training activities, employee evaluations, and skills development initiatives.
Monitor contract expiry dates, employee documentation, and compliance requirements.
Maintain HR reports, notice boards, and other HR administrative functions.
Support workplace health and safety initiatives, including random drug testing.
Provide general administrative support to the HR Manager and HR department.

Minimum Requirements

Matric
Diploma, Degree or certificate in HR
2–3 years' relevant HR administration experience.
Sound knowledge of HR processes, labour legislation, and HR best practices.
Payroll and time & attendance administration experience.
Computer literacy (MS Office and HR systems).
Fluent in English and at least two African languages.
Knowledge of MEIBC or other Bargaining Council agreements will be advantageous.
Strong administrative, communication, and organisational skills.
