Do you have proven experience in credit control or collections role or perhaps in a legal role where curiosity, logical thinking, problem solving, relationship building and proactivity are key to navigating obstacles and getting to the route of a problem?

As the Accounts Receivable Disputes Resolution Specialist, you will assist the credit control function by proactively overseeing and reducing aged debt of 90+ days, balancing cash recovery with customer retention. The goal is to reduce Day Sales Outstanding (DSO) and protect recurring revenue by resolving billing disputes, and negotiating payment plans without permanently damaging customer relationships.

What you will be doing:

Lower DSO & Recover Debt: Accelerate cash flow by reducing aged receivables and improving collections while strictly adhering to data compliance and ethical collection laws.
Preserve Customer Lifetime Value (CLV): Adopt a solution-oriented, empathetic approach to retain users by restructuring terms or diagnosing billing friction, negotiating settlements or custom payment plans.
Cross-Functional Bridge: Align Finance, Sales, and Customer Success (CS) to identify root causes of non-payment (e.g., failed dunning, platform dissatisfaction, or incorrect contract details).
Dispute Resolution: Research and resolve complex subscription, tax, or licensing discrepancies within internal ERP and CRM systems with the support of SME’s across Finance and Sales.
Agency Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for external debt collection agencies. Select, package, and securely transfer uncollectible accounts to external agencies.
Report on core SaaS metrics, including Aging Accounts, Collection Effectiveness Index (CEI), Average Days Delinquent (ADD) and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).

What are we looking for from you:

Significant credit control or collections role in a global corporate organsiation.
Familiarity with aged debt reporting and KPIs.
Proficiency with Saas financial operations tech stacks (e.g., Salesforce, Infor SunSystems, CreditHound).

Stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation
Works independently and prioritises a high workload.

You must hold the relevant right-to-work documentation to work in South Africa.
