Are you a hands-on infrastructure specialist with strong experience across Windows Server, Linux, Microsoft Azure, Hyper-V, storage, backup, database administration support and high-availability production environments?
Rewardsco is looking for an Infrastructure SysOps Engineer to manage, maintain, optimise and strengthen the resilience of our server, storage, database, cloud and backup environments across on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
This role is critical to ensuring stable, secure and high-performing business platforms that support contact centre operations, including telephony, dialler systems, CRM platforms, reporting environments and core infrastructure.
You will be responsible for supporting Windows Server clusters, Linux systems, Microsoft Azure infrastructure, Hyper-V virtualisation, HPE SAN and HPE MSA storage platforms, Veeam Backup & Replication, disaster recovery readiness and database administration support.
This role is ideal for an experienced infrastructure or systems operations professional with at least five years' experience, including strong Azure administration exposure, who can operate with discipline in a fast-paced BPO technology environment and support a 24/7 production landscape.
What you'll be responsible for:

Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments across production, disaster recovery and test platforms.

Administer Windows Failover Cluster environments and ensure system redundancy, stability and uptime.

Manage Linux server environments and support critical business workloads across the infrastructure estate.

Perform server patching, upgrades, lifecycle maintenance and operational readiness activities.

Monitor server health, infrastructure performance, resource utilisation and capacity requirements.

Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents, investigate root causes and implement corrective and preventative measures.

Manage Microsoft Hyper-V virtual environments, including provisioning, migrations and resource optimisation.

Administer Microsoft Azure environments, including virtual machines, storage services and backup services.

Monitor storage performance, capacity, availability and redundancy requirements across supported environments.

Administer HPE SAN and HPE MSA storage infrastructure to support resilient production operations.

Administer Veeam Backup & Replication across server and virtual workloads.

Conduct backup validation, restore testing and disaster recovery readiness checks.
-
Perform database administration support activities, including monitoring, backups, restores and performance tuning.

Provide infrastructure support for BPO operational platforms, including dialler, telephony, CRM and reporting systems.

Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, operational notes, configuration records and change control evidence.

Support infrastructure governance, security controls, operational standards and compliance requirements.

Apply infrastructure security best practices across server, cloud, storage and backup environments.

Manage access control in line with company governance requirements and support vulnerability remediation activities.

Identify infrastructure risks and help maintain disaster recovery and business continuity standards.

Work closely with Development, Security, Operations and Infrastructure teams to support delivery, stability and operational scaling.

Support campaign readiness, production growth requirements and the technical scaling needs of a high-volume BPO environment.

Provide technical guidance and engage with vendors, senior stakeholders and executive leadership where required.
Requirements
What we're looking for:

A strong hands-on technical individual with the ability to manage complex infrastructure environments across on-premise and cloud platforms.

Excellent troubleshooting and incident management capability, with the discipline to investigate issues thoroughly and implement sustainable fixes.

Operational discipline and the ability to support a 24/7 production environment where uptime, resilience and security are critical.

Strong understanding of infrastructure availability, redundancy, disaster recovery, backup validation and business continuity requirements.

A detail-oriented infrastructure professional who values documentation, governance, change control and technical consistency.

The ability to work closely with Development, Security, Operations and Infrastructure teams in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.

Confidence engaging with vendors, senior stakeholders and executive leadership when technical input or escalation support is required.
Technical knowledge and experience:
-
Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Infrastructure or Systems Administration.
-
Minimum five years' experience in infrastructure or systems operations.
-
Minimum three years' Microsoft Azure administration experience.
-
Microsoft Azure Certification preferred, especially AZ-104.
-
Microsoft Server or Infrastructure certification would be advantageous.

Strong experience managing Microsoft Windows Server environments across production, disaster recovery and test platforms.

Strong experience administering Windows Server clustering and Linux environments.

Strong experience managing Microsoft Hyper-V virtual environments, including provisioning, migrations and resource optimisation.

Hands-on experience with HPE SAN and HPE MSA storage environments.

Experience administering Veeam Backup & Replication across server and virtual workloads.

Experience conducting backup validation, restore testing and disaster recovery readiness checks.

Database administration experience in SQL Server or similar environments, including monitoring, backups, restores and performance tuning.

SQL or Database Administration certification would be advantageous.

Veeam certification would be advantageous.

Experience supporting BPO, contact centre or other high-availability operational environments would be advantageous.

Experience supporting operational platforms such as dialler, telephony, CRM, reporting systems and core infrastructure platforms.
