Vacancy: IT Assistant

Location: Helderkruin

Department: Information Technology

Overall, Purpose of the Role:

A position for an IT Assistant has become available with Fidelity Services Group. The successful candidate will manage general office and HR administration for the IT department, including payroll processing, asset and stock control, and support for IT projects and service desk operations. The role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Grade 12 (Matric) required.
2–5 years of experience in an IT in a helpdesk or customer support role.
Tertiary qualification in an IT (advantageous).
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
ITIL knowledge or certification (highly advantageous).
Great communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
Clear Criminal Record.
Should reside in the West Rand Area.

Job Specification (Not totally inclusive):

Incidents - Diagnosing and resolving or escalating incident calls logged to the Service Desk by Fidelity Security Services users.
Services Requests - Setting up new users or changing/updating access in the various systems as requested, installing applications on request mobile device management and other ICT related requests.
Adhering to agreed standard operating procedures and service levels for the handling of incidents and service requests.
Working with other members of the Service Desk Team to ensure that the highest possible level of service is offered to Fidelity Security Users and customers
Administration and housekeeping of the User and Computer AD objects that are reviewed and updated in a timely manner.
Proactively manage unassigned and assigned calls that are escalated within IT Teams.
Monitoring and managing all priority incidents including incident management of severity 1 and severity 2 call on a 24 x 7 basis.
Creating and maintaining the Knowledge Base Articles in the ITSM.
