Full Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and creative Salad and Pasta Cook to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh salads, cold dishes, and pasta-based menu items to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of ingredient preparation, portion control, presentation, and consistency.

The ideal candidate will be versatile, capable of assisting in other kitchen sections when required, and committed to maintaining exceptional food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble fresh salads, cold dishes, garnishes, and pasta dishes according to recipe specifications.
Cook and prepare various pasta types, sauces, and accompaniments.
Ensure consistency in portion sizes, taste, and presentation.
Prepare ingredients and maintain adequate mise en place for service.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering requirements as directed.
Ensure fresh produce and ingredients are handled and stored correctly.
Assist other kitchen stations when operationally required.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the salad and pasta station.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
Report stock shortages, quality issues, or equipment concerns to management.

Required Skills and Experience

Previous experience in salad preparation, pasta production, or a similar kitchen role.
Knowledge of fresh produce handling, preparation techniques, and food presentation.
Understanding of pasta preparation and sauce production.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
