Full Job Description

. ROLE PURPOSE

The Manager: Data Analytics will automate data pipelines and structure datasets, leveraging internal and external data to build and evolve Group Fintech’s Services & Product capabilities using best-practice methodologies and statistical techniques. The role is responsible for structuring datasets at both OPCO and Group level, designing and delivering analytics-based insights and reporting, and developing decision models and data-based rules in support of the Fintech Products & Services strategy and roadmap.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy Development and Implementation
Support Fintech Analytics strategy execution in line with overarching business and functional goals
Provide reports and analysis to support development of the functional strategy
Ensure accurate and timely reporting to enable regular review of strategy, roadmap and performance

Data Analytics & Modelling
Develop and manage models in machine learning and data science to support business and customer growth
Develop advanced quantitative models using a variety of programmes/software to support predictive assessment
Perform complex analyses, including optimisation, text analytics, machine learning and statistical modelling

Data Pipeline & BI Development
Develop automated processes for data ingestion, transformation and visualisation
Develop BI content – reports, dashboards, scorecards and analytic solutions supporting business decisions
Work with Technology teams to define requirements and priorities for new data capabilities & architecture

Remittance & Risk Analytics
Develop predictive models to forecast remittance volumes, transaction patterns and currency exchange rates
Support implementation of machine learning techniques to enhance fraud detection and risk management
Monitor transaction data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Stakeholder & Process Collaboration
Work with operations teams to identify process inefficiencies and recommend data-driven solutions
Implement A/B testing and experimentation to validate process enhancements
Prepare executive presentations for leadership forums and committees (functional reviews, Exco, Remco, Board)

Business Intelligence Systems and Tools
Provide input into strategic meetings, risk mitigation and controls
Escalate issues that will result in severe time, scope, productivity, cost or resource impact
Report on a periodic and ad hoc basis on progress within the function and on specific projects

Minimum Requirements

Pay: R576 450,89 - R1 353 157,85 per year
