Full Job Description

Job Title: Solar Industry Sales Representative

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our growing team in the solar and renewable energy industry. The ideal candidate will have strong B2B sales experience, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of solar products, electrical components, or renewable energy solutions.

This role is suited to someone who can build strong client relationships, identify customer needs, and provide product guidance across solar panels, inverters, batteries, mounting structures, pumps, electrical accessories, and related solar solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote and sell solar and renewable energy products to installers, contractors, businesses, and end users.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
Provide accurate product information and assist customers in choosing the correct solar solutions for their needs.
Prepare and follow up on quotes, orders, and customer enquiries.
Work closely with internal teams to check stock availability, pricing, product specifications, and delivery timelines.
Stay informed about solar product developments, industry trends, and competitor activity.
Meet sales targets and contribute to the growth of the company’s customer base.
Deliver professional after-sales support and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales, preferably in the solar, electrical, renewable energy, or technical product industry.
Experience in B2B sales will be a strong advantage.
Basic knowledge of solar systems, including inverters, batteries, solar panels, mounting structures, and related accessories.
Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
Ability to understand technical product information and explain it clearly to customers.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
Computer literate with experience using email, quoting systems, CRM systems, or similar platforms.
Reliable, professional, and willing to learn more about the solar industry.

Beneficial Skills:

Existing customer relationships within the solar or electrical industry.
Knowledge of brands such as LuxPower, Sunsynk, Deye, JA Solar or similar solar brands.
Understanding of backup power, off-grid, hybrid, and grid-tied solar solutions.
Previous experience selling to installers, resellers, contractors, or commercial clients.
