The Chief Information Officer will focus on:
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Digital Harmonization:
- Lead the formulation and execution of the RSA Digital and IT strategy, ensuring alignment across the Group’s overall digital objectives, whether from GBUs or Functions, avoiding overlaps, with a focus on deploying consistent, standardized digital solutions across the platform.
- Oversee the integration of global Group transformation projects such as GET and GDIT common services if not delivered by GBS IT. Ensures these projects are effectively implemented and adapted to the local context.
- Develop local solutions where harmonization is not possible due to geographical specificities.
- Drive the implementation of the Digital and IT Target Operating Model (TOM) to streamline processes, optimize resource allocation, and strengthen strong ways of working fostering a high-performance IT environment.
- Establish a strong and sustainable network of external and internal alliances.
- Support GBUs locally on their business scope and transformation.
- Operational Excellence, Cybersecurity, IT Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure the effective execution of all operational tasks by both internal teams and external service providers, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across IT services.
- Oversee the compliance with IT governance and internal control frameworks, data privacy regulations, and local legal requirements, ensuring cybersecurity, business continuity, and governance standards are consistently met.
- Monitor the security of company data, the reliability and integrity of systems, and vendor performance to contractual standards.
- Ensure cybersecurity activities are well-structured, fully compliant with group standards, and that the IT teams are equipped to address both current and emerging security threats.
- Lead and drive global initiatives across the country and platform, ensuring these are integrated into local operations and aligned with group standards.
- Support merger and acquisition activities and business growth ambitions, ensuring appropriate IT due diligence on new business applications and infrastructure, and delivering projects within agreed upon schedules & costs.
- Data Strategy, AI, and Future Technologies:
- Lead the development of a comprehensive platform data strategy, aligned with the Group data strategy, emphasizing data as a key business asset, and ensuring strong governance and management practices are in place.
- Promote the adoption of AI and automation technologies to improve decision-making, enhance customer experience, and optimize internal processes in the framework of what is proposed by the Group function and the GBUs.
- Deploy any solutions anchored in AI and future technologies while requested by the GBUs within agreed upon schedules & costs.
- Drive Value and Innovation
- Continuously challenge businesses to leverage IT effectively and efficiently, through improved business processes, timely access to business-critical information, and corporate knowledge.
- Continuously optimize and improve the portfolio of IT solutions; challenge any identified overlap.
- Financial Management and Project Oversight:
- Oversee country/platform IT activities and budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimation, financial reporting, and alignment with group processes and strategic objectives.
- Drive performance initiatives (C2) and maintain a proper organization to follow-up on services delivered to project companies (SLAs) and cost recovery.
- Manage the delivery of the country/platform Digital & IT project roadmap, ensuring close alignment with group Digital & IT and GBUs' requirements, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure strategic investments are made in data, AI, and emerging technologies to maximize business impact and drive digital transformation across the region if a local solution has proven to be the only answer (no harmonization possible).

5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Professional Experience:
- 8-10 years of leadership experience in IT strategy, digital transformation, and operational excellence within a multinational environment.
- Strong experience in data strategy, AI, and future technology implementation, with a track record of driving innovation through digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong business acumen and is a strategic business partner in large, complex organizations, effectively bridging technical solutions with business objectives to deliver measurable outcomes.
