This role entails calculating, monitoring and reporting of regulatory capital requirements. The role will provide exposure to Solvency
Assessment and Management (SAM), capital modelling, Own Risk and Solvency Assessment
(ORSA) processes, regulatory reporting and risk management activities.
Job Description
Purpose of the Role
To analyse, monitor and report on remuneration-related data and costs, providing accurate insights, controls and reporting to support remuneration decision-making, payroll governance, budgeting, compliance and reward programmes.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Data Science or related field.
Required Work Experience

3 to 5 years work experience where analytical skills were applied

Key Responsibilities
Remuneration Analysis & Insights
-
Analyse remuneration costs, trends and variances to provide meaningful insights and support informed decision-making.

Perform remuneration-related analysis, including cost movement analysis, benchmarking comparisons, pay equity assessments and scenario modelling.

Evaluate the financial impact of remuneration and benefit changes through modelling and forecasting exercises.

Investigate remuneration-related queries and provide data-driven recommendations.
Remuneration Reporting & Benchmarking

Prepare and submit remuneration benchmarking data to external survey and market data providers.

Analyse remuneration survey results and compare internal pay practices against relevant market benchmarks.

Develop, maintain and enhance remuneration reports, dashboards and management information.

Produce regular and ad hoc reward-related analyses and reports for management and governance forums.
Payroll Governance & Controls

Perform payroll-related reconciliations, validation checks and control reviews to ensure the accuracy and integrity of remuneration data.

Verify remuneration-related inputs and outputs through balancing, exception reporting and variance analysis.

Maintain accurate remuneration and employee data within relevant systems and reporting tools.
Leave & Compliance Reporting

Perform leave balance reconciliations and control checks to support accurate leave rules application.

Monitor leave-related trends and provide analysis to support effective leave management and governance.

Support regulatory and compliance reporting requirements, including BBBEE, Employment Equity, COIDA and Department of Labour submissions.

Ensure data accuracy and integrity across remuneration, benefits and compliance reporting processes.
Data Analytics & Continuous Improvement
-
Analyse employee remuneration and workforce data to identify trends, anomalies and improvement opportunities.

Support the development and enhancement of remuneration models, analytical tools and reporting processes.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of reward-related systems, data quality and reporting capabilities.

Identify and drive reward and benefit related operational process improvement.
