Are you commercially minded, people-oriented, and eager to grow into an area leadership role? Join our Commercial team as a Junior Area Manager in Kroonstad, where you’ll support the commercial and operational health of Fibre and Wireless projects in your area, drive customer satisfaction and retention, and work closely with Networks teams to deliver strong on-the-ground performance.
The key purpose of this role is to support and execute area-level commercial and operational plans under the guidance of the Senior Area Manager, focusing on customer growth, take-up, retention, and revenue while ensuring effective collaboration with Networks and other support teams.
- Ensure strong customer relevance within your assigned area by implementing standard commercial tactics and initiatives

Drive customer engagement through social media, community initiatives, activations, and local engagements

Address customer concerns promptly and effectively to support satisfaction and long-term retention

Act as custodian of all customers within your assigned network area

Convert business and tactical goals into monthly and daily operational plans under guidance of the Senior Area Manager

Participate in Level-2 Value Chain MOS collaboration to identify and resolve operational flow challenges

Lead and support your operational team by ensuring daily execution plans are clearly communicated and delivered

Ensure all required resources are available, including tools, equipment, vehicles, and safety measures

Ensure team members understand daily expectations relating to speed, quality, cost, and safety

Monitor execution through KPIs (SQSCT) and quality control protocols, implementing feedback loops for daily improvement

Report on KPIs, metrics, and operational statistics for your area

Coach and train team members to execute activities to standard and support their development

Facilitate daily Level-1 MOS meetings and ensure operational triggers are identified and resolved

Identify and capitalise on commercial opportunities to achieve take-up and revenue goals for the area

Ensure outbound sales, social media activity, local marketing, office administration, and customer care are effectively managed within the area, as agreed with the Senior Area Manager

Collaborate with technical teams to build and maintain long-term relationships with landowners and manage contracts

Implement and uphold partnership agreements with customer and supplier teams

Ensure alignment with other functions and regions to maintain operational rhythm
- Grade 12 (Matric)

1–2 years’ experience in a customer-facing, operational, or sales role

Commercial mindset with a results-driven approach

Proven interest or experience in sales, customer growth, or revenue generation

Sound operational, planning, and time management skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities

Ability to communicate effectively in English and applicable local languages

Strong interpersonal skills with leadership potential

Ability to coach, support, and transfer knowledge to team members

Experience in fibre, wireless networks, or landowner management will be advantageous

Resilient, adaptable, and self-aware with sound judgement and decision-making ability

Valid driver’s licence with willingness to travel

Diploma or relevant coursework in business, marketing, or related fields will be advantageous
