We are a leading paint manufacturing company in the construction and development industry, specializing in the distribution of high-quality paint, varnish, and waterproofing products. We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Paint Sales Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in generating leads, driving sales, and providing exceptional customer service within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation and Sales:
- Proactively generate leads and identify sales opportunities within the construction and development sector.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and establish contact with key decision-makers.
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of our paint products to potential customers.
- Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and recommend appropriate paint solutions.
- Follow up on sales leads and maintain a consistent pipeline of potential customers.
- Assist customers throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial consultation to after-sales support.
2. Product Knowledge and Expertise:
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of paint, varnish, and waterproofing products.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, new product releases, and advancements in paint technology.
- Provide accurate and detailed information on product specifications, usage guidelines, and application techniques.
- Assist customers in selecting the right products based on their specific needs and project requirements.
- Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers as needed.
3. Customer Service and Relationship Management:
- Deliver exceptional customer service at all times, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, architects, and other industry professionals.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to customers, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Effectively handle customer inquiries, complaints, and product returns in a timely and professional manner.
- Utilize various communication channels (email, phone, WhatsApp) to engage with customers and facilitate sales.
4. Administrative and Operational Tasks:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and product inventory.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing, product availability, and timely delivery.
- Assist in pricing methodologies, ensuring competitiveness in the market.
- Multitask and prioritize daily activities within a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and work with a high level of accuracy.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a sales consultant, paint industry essential.
- Excellent knowledge of paint, varnish, and waterproofing products.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- High attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Fluent in English, Afrikaans (additional languages are advantageous).
- Willingness to work extended hours, Saturday mornings, and events as per operational requirements.
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent qualification.

Salary:
The salary for this position is market-related and negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
