Boodle is looking for an exceptional, hands-on, commercially aware, and operationally strong Collections Manager to lead a broad collections-led environment and raise performance standards across the function.
This opportunity suits a high-calibre leader who can manage people, workflows, escalations, quality, reporting, and results across Collections, Employer Registration, and Back Office with strong accountability and execution.
This is a true management role with full accountability for people, workflow control, operational discipline, quality standards, reporting, and commercial outcomes. We are looking for someone genuinely strong in leadership, execution, and operational control, not someone who only carries the title.
What The Role Covers
· Leading and developing teams across normal/current collections, early-stage arrears, late-stage collections, Employer Registration, and Back Office operations.
· Managing collections performance across arrears movement, recoveries, cure rates, promises to pay, broken arrangements, and overall portfolio discipline.
· Driving the right treatment strategy for the right account at the right time using delinquency stage, payment behaviour, debit outcomes, and contactability trends.
· Overseeing debit order and DigiCheck follow-up activity, including unpaid, rejected, suspended, and unsuccessful outcomes.
· Managing EDC relationships, placements, recoveries, reconciliations, service levels, and performance accountability.
· Improving queue health, turnaround times, processing accuracy, escalation handling, QA standards, and operational controls across ER and Back Office.
· Using reporting, root-cause analysis, and process improvement to strengthen execution, accountability, and commercial outcomes.
· Setting the tone for a disciplined, high-performance collections culture with strong ownership and execution standards.
What We Need
· Relevant experience in collections, arrears management, debt recovery, credit operations, or a comparable target-driven financial services environment.
· At least 2 to 4 years in a formal supervisory or management role, with clear people-management accountability.
· A strong understanding of current, early-stage, and late-stage collections, including payment arrangements, broken commitments, and recovery strategies.
· Confidence managing KPIs, collector productivity, quality, coaching, escalations, and underperformance.
· The ability to interpret collections MI, identify trends, and act decisively on performance gaps and operational risks.
· A disciplined, analytical, and commercially grounded management style with the confidence to hold people accountable.
· A strong management presence with the maturity, judgement, and energy to lead a demanding collections operation well.
Advantageous Experience
· Experience overseeing Employer Registration or Back Office processing teams in a collections-led environment.
· Financial services, fintech, online lending, credit operations, or another regulated collections environment.
· Dialler strategy exposure, payment-channel optimisation, workflow automation, or collections reporting/dashboard design.
· Process redesign, QA framework development, or operational control improvements that produced measurable recovery results.
Shortlisting Process
As part of the shortlisting process, selected candidates may be asked to prepare a short practical presentation on how they would build, manage, measure, and improve a high-performing collections environment. The presentation should highlight improvements they have personally implemented and the measurable impact achieved.
How To Apply
1. Submit your CV to [email protected] with the subject line: Collections Manager Application.
2. Include a short cover note outlining your collections leadership experience, the environments you have managed, and one measurable improvement you implemented in a previous role.
3. Applications without this short note may not be reviewed.
