About the role
Shoreability is expanding its offshore Digital Marketing team supporting a leading UK dental group with a large portfolio of practice websites.
We are looking for an experienced SEO Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day management and performance of external SEO agencies.
This is primarily an agency leadership and governance role, rather than a hands-on campaign execution position. You will set direction, manage agency performance, oversee SEO reporting and provide SEO governance during a large-scale website migration.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for external SEO agencies.
- Set agency KPIs, reporting standards and performance expectations.
- Hold agencies accountable for agreed deliverables and quality.
- Maintain an SEO roadmap covering technical, content, local and offsite SEO.
- Oversee local SEO, including Google Business Profile and map-pack performance.
- Provide SEO oversight during website migrations and replatforming.
- Review redirect strategies, metadata, canonical structures and crawl configurations.
- Monitor organic performance using GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs or similar tools.
- Present commercially focused performance reports and recommendations.
- Manage several SEO workstreams across a multi-site and multi-location website portfolio.
- Work closely with UK-based digital marketing and web development stakeholders.
What we are looking for
- A minimum of 5 years’ SEO experience.
- Proven experience managing external SEO agencies.
- Strong technical, local, on-page, content and offsite SEO knowledge.
- Experience setting agency KPIs and managing performance against deliverables.
- Knowledge of website migrations, redirects, indexation, structured data and Core Web Vitals.
- Experience managing SEO across multiple websites or locations.
- Strong GA4, Google Search Console and SEO reporting experience.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- Strong stakeholder, project and agency management skills.
Experience in healthcare, dental, regulated industries, AEO/GEO, digital PR or multi-location businesses would be advantageous.
This position suits a confident SEO professional who can operate independently, challenge agency performance and translate business priorities into clear SEO activity.
Application Question(s):
- Have you directly managed external SEO agencies, including setting KPIs, reviewing performance and holding agencies accountable?
- Have you managed SEO across multiple websites, brands or business locations?
- Do you have experience with technical SEO, local SEO, GA4, Google Search Console and tools such as SEMrush or Ahrefs?
- Have you provided SEO oversight during a website migration or replatforming project?
