Optimi is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrator to join our HR team. The ideal candidate must have a strong foundation in HR functions including employee engagement, employee development, HR administration, industrial relations, training and development, and compliance. You will play a key role in ensuring that HR operations run smoothly and support the company’s strategic people objectives.
REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12
-
Diploma or Higher Certificate in Human Resource Management or related field

Bachelor’s Degree in HR or Industrial Psychology (advantageous)

2–3 years’ experience in a generalist HR role

Knowledge of BCEA, LRA, and related legislation

Familiarity with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP)

Experience with HR/Payroll software, including Deel/PaySpace
-
Professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal

Valid Driver’s Licence
DUTIES
-
Populate standard employment contracts and addendums accurately, including remuneration, start dates, and job grades.

Edit, proofread, and format existing HR policies in line with corporate layout and branding standards without altering their core intent.

Maintain accurate HR databases, employment logs, and IR case trackers.

Draft employment-related documentation and maintain accurate HR records.
-
Ensure data integrity and accuracy across HR documentation and systems

Support the coordination of internal and external training programmes, including calendar invitations, attendance registers, and platform management.

Track employee training histories and maintain compliance evidence, including provider invoices, signed registers, and certificates.

Support the implementation of training and development initiatives.

Collate training information to support Workplace Skills Plans (WSP), Annual Training Reports (ATR), and B-BBEE audits.

Assist with the administration and logistics of formal disciplinary hearings and grievances.

Act as an objective minute-taker during formal disciplinary hearings and provide accurate drafts within required timelines.

Capture and maintain Industrial Relations documentation.

Support employee engagement and wellness initiatives.
-
Assist with the deployment of employee engagement surveys.
-
Monitor survey completion metrics and compile survey responses into structured data summaries.

Assist with the coordination of employee engagement and wellness activities.

Support statutory and annual reporting requirements, including EE, WSP/ATR, and B-BBEE.

Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for reporting and audit purposes.

Assist with HR reporting and resolving HR-related queries.
-
Ensure compliance with HR policies and applicable legislation.

Assist the HR Manager with day-to-day HR administrative tasks.

Assist with preliminary routing of policy-related queries.
-
Coordinate vendor invoicing related to HR activities.
-
Assist with office logistics and staff-related administrative requirements.
-
Participate in operational projects and support end-to-end coordination workflows.
