Position: IT Project Manager
Role Purpose
Panyanru (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and manage complex Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects across infrastructure, cloud, networking, and digital transformation environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects within scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring alignment with client business objectives, governance requirements, and industry best practices.
The IT Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful completion of technology initiatives, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing project risks, and ensuring high-quality service delivery for clients in both the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of ICT infrastructure and digital transformation projects.
- Develop project charters, business cases, project plans, and scope documentation.
- Define project deliverables, milestones, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Establish project governance structures, reporting frameworks, and stakeholder communication plans.
- Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, and project risk analyses.
- Manage ICT infrastructure projects including:
- Data centre implementation, migration, and modernization
- LAN, WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, and enterprise networking projects
- Cloud platform implementation and migration (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Hybrid Cloud)
- Hardware refresh and enterprise technology deployment
- Server, storage, virtualization, and disaster recovery initiatives
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
- Manage project risks, issues, change requests, and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams, vendors, contractors, and client stakeholders.
- Prepare executive reports, project status updates, and performance dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with organizational governance, security policies, and relevant ICT standards.
- Facilitate project closure, lessons learned, and successful operational handover.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field (NQF Level 6 or higher).
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent project management certification (preferred).
- Additional certifications in Agile, Scrum, ITIL, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or cloud technologies will be advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum of 5–10 years of experience managing ICT and technology projects.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale ICT infrastructure and enterprise technology projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing:
- Data centre projects
- Enterprise networking (LAN/WAN/MPLS/SD-WAN)
- Cloud migration and implementation (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Hybrid Cloud)
- Infrastructure modernization and hardware deployment
- Experience working with multidisciplinary technical teams and external vendors.
- Strong understanding of ICT governance, project management methodologies, and risk management.
- Experience in public sector, state-owned enterprises, or large corporate environments will be advantageous.

Pay: R450 000,00 - R540 000,00 per year
