ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Sales Advisor, you will be a high-performing frontline consultant responsible for contacting leads, qualifying prospects, presenting MiLaw's debt mediation product, and converting consultations into signed agreements. You will operate in a fast-paced, target-driven call centre environment and serve as a role model for junior advisors on the floor.
This role is ideal for a seasoned debt review or financial services sales professional who thrives under pressure, is passionate about helping consumers, and is motivated by uncapped commission earnings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct outbound and inbound calls to pre-qualified leads, presenting the MiLaw debt mediation solution clearly and compliantly.
- Achieve and consistently exceed individual monthly sales targets and conversion rate KPIs.
- Accurately capture client information, income and expense data, and complete all required onboarding documentation.
- Educate consumers on their rights and the benefits of debt mediation versus alternative options.
- Ensure full compliance with NCR regulations, NCA requirements, and internal quality and script standards.
- Handle objections professionally and confidently, applying proven sales techniques to close consultations.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM/dialler system at all times.
- Mentor and support junior sales advisors, contributing to a positive, high-performance team culture.
- Participate in daily huddles, weekly performance reviews, and ongoing training sessions.
- Flag quality issues, product concerns, or compliance risks to the Team Leader promptly.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a call centre sales environment — debt review, debt mediation, or financial services strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years in a senior sales advisors (closer) role
- Proven, consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential); relevant tertiary qualification advantageous.
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills in English (additional South African language is a plus).
- Proficiency with CRM systems and dialler platforms.
- Sound understanding of the South African debt landscape, including the National Credit Act (NCA) and NCR guidelines.
- Ability to work structured shift hours including some Saturdays.
