We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain practical experience in accounts payable, creditor control, and financial administration. The successful candidate will receive hands-on training and mentorship, with opportunities to take on increasing levels of responsibility as they develop within the role.

Requirements:

Diploma/degree in Finance or Accounting
Basic understanding of accounting/finance principles
Microsoft proficiency, particularly Excel
Date capturing and record-keeping skills
Numerical accuracy and attention to detail
Exposure to accounting systems will be advantageous
No experience required

Responsibilities:

Creditor Control and Financial Administration

Capture and process supplier invoices accurately and timeously.
Generate ad hoc purchase orders as required.
Perform creditor reconciliations against supplier statements.
Prepare payment packs and supporting documentation for review and approval.
Maintain control of office consumables, stationery, and other business resources.
Assist with general finance administration and record-keeping.

Growth and Development Responsibilities

As proficiency is demonstrated and training progresses, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Loading supplier payments onto the banking platform.
Proposing floorplan settlements and loading these for payment.
Capturing and allocating payments on the accounting system.
Providing additional support to the finance function as required.
