YOUR ROLE
The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility; manage service providers and the level of service they are responsible for. This role is also responsible to ensure compliance in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of South Africa.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Assist and support with the developing and implementation of warehouse policies and procedures, including inventory management, quality control, and equipment maintenance in line with CEVA support operations.
- Ensure that all warehouse activities are performed safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse and equipment to identify and address any safety or maintenance issues.
- Inspecting buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
- Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures.
- Manage monthly billing for all customers, perform analysis and forecasting.
- Manage labour service provider and allocation of labour hours.
- Review direct operating expenses and ensure efficiency.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred
- At least 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or a related field.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory management, and logistics operations
- Must be able to operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
