Sales Representative/Tender administrator
We are looking for seasoned Sales Representative/Tender administrator with strong knowledge of laboratory and medical POC equipment who is able expand and maintain our existing customer base in South Africa.
- Completed Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification (Medical) is advantageous
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in a Sales Environment preferably in the medical devices /diagnostics industry
- Proven experience in expanding sales base (Track record to be provided)
- Strong equipment laboratory knowledge.
- Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Experience using Sage Pastel advantageous
- Ideal candidate should well-groomed and have a professional demeanor and friendly personality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Must have the ability to understand, retain and confidently communicate technical product information
- Strong presentation and demonstrations skills
- Good telephone etiquette and cold calling experience
- Organizational and time management skills
- Own registered vehicle Not Older than 8 years with valid license
- Goal orientated achiever
- Clear Credit and criminal record
- Valid Passport and credit card
- Valid code 8 driver’s license
- Full COVID-19 Vaccination required
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed weekly stats of contacted clients
- Follow up on pending quotations
- Assisting with specifications for tenders/Complete and submit tenders documents with in the required time lines
- Manage new and upcoming projects
- Demo products to prospective clients
- Provide product training to clients (Nationally) - On-site and Virtual
- Customer Visits, product demonstrations both on Site and virtually are required
- Successful candidates would need to complete product knowledge training and pass the required assessments. The company requires you to regularly reviewing product information, manuals and updates from the manufacture and medical industry bodies (SAMED ,SALDA and SAPHRA) - and retain the knowledge for future reference
- Confidence handling and demonstrating use of these products and its consumables to Health care professional and staff
- Assist Customers in a professional manor and responding to requests and quotations within 1 business day
- Research potential customers groups, organizations and expand the existing customer base
- Cold calling is required to generating potential leads, set up demonstrations on-site and virtual. All of this information must be recorded and prepared on a work sheet that’s submitted and discussed during weekly meeting
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets
- Strategize how to concluding pending orders generate new potential leads and plan new projects
- Regularly monitor tender boards/posts, participate in bids and tender submissions efficiently, accurately and on time.
- Regularly follow up on the status of pending tender, assist with customer enquiries
- Establish a professional relationship as the key contact, maintain communication, keep contact with monthly visits and telephone calls, regularly pitching product range
Salary range: R168k-R192k + Commission + Car allowance + Petrol reimbursement for business travel+ cell phone allowance.
