Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Assistant Manager will work closely with and support the Salon Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the salon. The successful candidate will assist with staff coordination, customer service, sales, stock control, administration, and maintaining high standards of service and presentation.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, energetic, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced salon environment.

Key Performance Areas

Assist the Store Manager with the daily operations of the salon.
Support and supervise salon staff to ensure a professional and productive working environment.
Ensure clients receive excellent customer service and have a positive salon experience.
Assist with handling customer queries, concerns, and complaints professionally.
Assist with staff scheduling, attendance, and daily task allocation.
Monitor the salon floor and ensure that staff are attending to clients efficiently.
Assist with achieving daily and monthly sales targets.
Promote salon services, products, promotions, and additional sales opportunities.
Assist with stock control, including monitoring stock levels and reporting shortage
Ensure products, equipment, and salon areas are kept clean, organised, and presentable.
Assist with cash-up and daily administrative duties as required.
Ensure company policies, procedures, and service standards are followed.
Support the Manager with staff training, motivation, and performance monitoring.
Assist with visual presentation and maintaining a professional salon environment.
Report operational issues to the Salon Manager promptly.
Take responsibility for the smooth running of the salon when the Manager is unavailable.
Perform other reasonable duties associated with the Assistant Manager position
