This is a demanding role that requires a strong leader who can manage a busy workshop, motivate a team, and ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of a busy truck workshop.
Supervise and lead mechanics, apprentices, and workshop staff.
Plan and allocate work to ensure deadlines are met.
Ensure high-quality workmanship and productivity.
Maintain accurate job cards, service records, and complete paper trails.
Manage workshop administration, documentation, and reporting.
Monitor parts, stock control, and ordering.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, and management.
Resolve technical and staff-related issues quickly and effectively.

Minimum Requirements

Proven experience managing a heavy-duty truck mechanical workshop.
Strong knowledge of truck maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
Excellent leadership and staff management skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong administrative skills with exceptional attention to paperwork and record keeping.
Computer literate with experience using workshop management systems.
Valid driver's licence (Code EC/Code 14 will be an advantage).
Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
Reliable, disciplined, and able to make decisions independently.
