Quality control- Mangement Shift hand over meeting at 06h15. Document(check sheets) distribution to unit oparators 06h30-06h45.

1.Processing area-moisture analysis(in process food and finished food), vitamin ph analysis (done every 3hours). Food quality checks

2.Packaging-Metal detector calibration done every 3hours,collecting samples for food review from the packaging lines,reviewing the packaged on the line both cartons and cases (done every 3hours)06h45-18h15. Food quality checks

3.Management food review - Host the review,anyone from management can rate the food while i take notes 08h30-09h00. 09h00-09h30 continue with the quality checks.

4.Typing the food review report on the Product evaluation system and sending it to all the kellogg's springs network users.09h30-10h30

5. Tea time.not taken everytime due to extensive work.10h30-11h00

6. Second Food review - 11h00- 11h30.

7. Start with the second quality checks.11h30-13h00

8. Hand over Plant status to the Plant quality Manager for her 14h00 OMP meeting.

9.Lunch Break 13h00-14h00.

10.Recieve raw material,do quality test on the material reject or release them according to the kellogg's specifications and standards.

11. Start with quality checks 14h00-15h30

12.Host the third food review 15h30-16h00

13. Typing the food review report on the Product evaluation system and sending it to all the kellogg's springs network users. 16h00-16h30

14.Re-sampling of any product that was held during the food reviews.Rejecting or releasing the product writing NCRs non comformance reports, Food safety incidents reports.16h30-17h30.

15.Printing out check sheets for the next shift and Writing the daily report.17h30-18h15

16.Shift hand over meeting with the Production and the engineering teams 18h15- 18h30

17.Hand over to the next QC.18h30-18h45

18.Knock off time 18h45.

Accountant suppose to be flexible to meet deadline; 23 August 2014 I was suppose to meet deadline of intercompany reconciliation, which comprisis of 12 companies; which it's were a person suppose to check all transactions on the SAP system are avilailable, if not,  need to have relavant document to process prior the reconciliation. 

I learned to be fast working with recons and pay attention to detail of single transaction and also to report in time and work long hours. 
the hardest part of the job is to wiat for infor mation without receiving it in time.
 
The enjoyable part is to work closer to financial managers and know more amout the health status of the company. I enjoyed working with most of my co-workers especial the AR and AP department, they always motivate, give hope of goodness. 

I learned alots about peoples behavior specialy those you report to them and how they can uplift and down grade you regardless of  knowledge you have.

My typical day at work would be filled with new challenges everyday, I have learnt a lot  varying from labor disputes, legal compliance, company law and other areas of expertise like HR and IT. The management of the Company is amazing in that you work directly with your supervisor and this gives one an opportunity to learn and adopt great work ethics. The work culture in the Company is wonderful, due to the fact that the Company is an International Company the office is full of multinationals and gives one the opportunity to interact and learn various things about different people.

Working at kelloggs was a good experience because I learned many new things plus since it was my first time working. i learned how to operate machine and cook corn flakes. Like every other work places we had our problems but we were able to solve the by the help of our team leaders. the management was good to every person who does his/her job well and the were time were they would teach us more about kelloggs. the most enjoyable part of my job was when i started operating but i had the hardest time learning how to operate.

I have gained most of my experience in Supply Chain (factory) at Kellogg Co of SA but also has extensive experience on the commercial side.  Started as an HR Administrator and worked my way up to HR generalist  leading all aspects of HR. Learnt all aspects of HR including payroll, recruitment and selection, training and development.  Kellogg had a strong unionized environment, learnt a lot from an IR perspective.  Enjoyed the high performance culture environment.

I have learned a lot from receiving raw material to verification checks, conducting online trainings and to acting as a quality system tecnician for 10 months, sending COA to customers, handling customer complaints, generating and checking check sheets and raising non-conformances for issues picked up.
Co-workers are quite good to work with and olot of team work takes place.

It's a perfect platform for learning from different departments that are interlinked. Management is very welcoming and willing to assist and help you grow because they allow you to be involved in many constructive activities. The company has a great working culture, the culture shape your professionalism capabilities. As an eager to learn person, it's likely to enjoy your duties.
