This work place is like military service in the apartheid era. White management shows little regard for black South Africans. You raise a grievance at your own peril. Those who have dared to speak paid with their careers. I literally survive by playing brain dead when I get to work.
We are consistently reminded we don’t matter and we are at the mercy of management. The culture is easy to describe, fearful and racist. The best time is home going time 💃

I work in an environment where I deal with different challenges on a day to day basis I love challenges and I like a healthy working environment surrounding me.I am passionate and committed on my job,Two things that describe me work and my family.The hardest part of my job is to work under pressure of which I have already adjusted to it ,as I am working on a production environment I have to respond quick on the breakdowns and find a solution quickly.

These Germans need to realise that Africa is not for colonisation again. No black person is valued at this company. They apply rules selectively and have no respect whatsoever for black employees or this country, They do not even care about BBBEE despite the significant contribution of SA to their business.

I got to learn a lot from electronic engineers they have at the company. Now I can confidently say I am good in fault finding on electronic devices and I would be great electronic engineer if the opportunity was to be available for me.

My career objective is to learn and develop employability skills and grow professionally within the working environment.I aim at extending my knowledge and gaining valuable practical skills that will improve my willingness of bringing about good change to the organisation

The salary is not bad for an intern especially with no experience. The salary should be fair enough for permanent staff. The Giescke and Devrient is a good company in all the faculties

The hardest part is the extremely long hours.


Overall a great company to work for. Older staff members are very toxic. Management are the biggest gossipers in the business. Instead of focusing on the value the team brings, they will always look for a way to speak down of the staff. No one is good enough for them.
