Full Job Description

Role Purpose/Business Unit

To increase the available time and agility of the MD’s Office in order to focus his time, effort and priorities on strategic initiatives
To act as liaison between the MD and other stakeholders both internal and external
To be responsible for all the data reporting needs within the MD’s Office to integrate into Exco and board reports

Your responsibilities will include

Understand the BI tools available and being able to obtain relevant information from the various source systems
Conduct and analyse financial performance and indicators per segment against main competitors and industry standards
Understand IT and Finance processes including data warehouse / business intelligence applications

Support the MD’s Office

Ensure on-time and within budget the MD’s deliverables
Promote a service mentality and develop strong relationships with consumer, business and technology areas
Lead world class measurement and improvement model for the analytical and operational teams across MAST.
Manage creation of consistent and integrated improvement
Resolve problems and mediate disputes before it is escalated to the Consumer Sales and Distributions Officer

Financial review and analysis

Work closely with the Finance Business Partner to analyse and interpret financial information to ensure that Consumer Sales and Distribution operates within budget requirements
Proactively engage with CBU leadership on operational and reporting items as required from time to time
Monitor the implementation of cost saving initiatives

Reporting and Governance

Ensure a sound reporting framework is in place which is aligned to the Vodacom / Vodafone standards
Work with key stakeholders to design and develop and an automated dashboard that displays the Consumer Sales and Distribution KPI’s and is fit for purpose
Ensure that good governance principles are adhered to with the Consumer Sales and Distributions Officer’s office
Prepare the necessary documentations and presentations as required for internal and external audiences

Ad hoc requirements

Oversee and deliver on strategic projects in the office of the Consumer Sales and Distributions Officer as aligned to the strategic roadmap impacting all functional areas viz EBU; CBU; Technology etc
Monitor progress on allocated projects deliverables

The ideal candidate for this role will have

Matric / Grade 12 essential
Minimum of 3-year relevant Degree/ National Diploma or is essential
Business related courses completed is essential
A business-related MBA is strongly preferred
Minimum of 5 to 8 years relevant experience:
Managing functional responsibilities at a senior manager level within a Corporate environment
Telecommunications Project management
Managing / building relationships at Executive level
Providing financial analysis at Executive Management level
Minimum of 2yrs Leadership/Management experience (an advantage)
Presenting and Communicating Information
Analysing
Persuading and Influencing
Delivering Results and Meeting Customer Expectations
Planning and Organising
Working with People
Deciding and Initiating Action
