Full Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Cash Book Clerk to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cashbook transactions, performing bank reconciliations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with banking and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update cashbook records on a daily basis.
Capture and allocate bank transactions accurately and timeously.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
Investigate and resolve unreconciled items and discrepancies.
Process payments and ensure all supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
Review, verify, and maintain KYC (Know Your Customer) documentation in line with banking and compliance requirements.
Liaise with banking institutions regarding account maintenance, payments, and banking queries.
Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes.
Prepare reports and schedules as required by management.
Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and audit requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
4 - 6 years' experience in a Cash Book Clerk, Finance Clerk, or similar role.
Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and cashbook management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting systems.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

Experience working with FNB banking platforms and processes.
Experience handling and validating KYC (Know Your Customer) documentation.
Proven experience performing high-volume bank reconciliations.
Strong understanding of banking compliance requirements.

Pay: R10 000,00 - R35 000,00 per month
