The Group Financial Controller is responsible for leading the financial control, reporting, compliance, tax and accounting functions across the Group. The role ensures the integrity of financial information, effective internal controls, regulatory compliance, timely delivery of accurate financial reporting to support strategic decision-making and drives positive transformation in finance and the wider Group.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Financial reporting and consolidation
· Lead the Group month end process.
· Lead preparation of Kineo UK Ltd management accounts.
· Produce monthly consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow.
· Review and analyse the financial results, identify key trends, risks and opportunities.
· Prepare reports and presentation for the Board, Investor, Bank and Executive.
Financial control, governance and tax
· Develop and maintain robust financial controls and governance frameworks
· Ensure compliance with global accounting standards, statutory requirements and internal policies
· Lead the continuous review and enhancement of financial processes and controls.
· Monitor financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
· Ensure effective management of balance sheet integrity and reconciliations.
· Manage external tax advisors globally in the production of direct tax computations and Group tax position.
Audit and compliance
· Manage external audit processes.
· Coordinate statutory audits across all group entities.
· Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
· Maintain up-to-date accounting policies and procedures.
· Act as the primary point of contact for auditors
Treasury and cash management
- Maintain the 13 week cashflow forecast.
- Support treasury activities including bank relationships, funding and liquidity management.
- Monitor working capital performance and suggest improvements.
Budgeting & Planning Support
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Partner with business leaders to understand financial performance and key drivers.
Team leadership
- Lead, develop and mentor the finance function, both direct reports and the wider finance team.
- Manage, recruit, train the finance team, ensuring a high-performance team.
Transformation
- Support significant finance restructuring and transformation, be a champion of change and continuous improvement
- Key stakeholder in implementing a Group wide ERP and standardise global processes
Essential Requirements
Minimum 10 + years’ experience in finance with progressive experience, a minimum 3 years in a Financial Controller role.
Recognised Accounting Qualification.
Experience in small to medium size SaaS or Technology businesses (£15-£50m revenue).
Experience in global businesses, dealing with multi-currency and multi-jurisdiction compliance.
Strong technical expertise in UK GAAP or IFRS.
Excellent communicator with outstanding stakeholder management skills.
Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders across the organisation.
Effective organisational & time management skills.
Proven experience with SaaS accounting software.
Advanced excel skills.

- Indirect and direct tax exposure to the UK, USA and Australia
