Full Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Office and Banking Controls

Receive, count, verify and record cash submitted by drivers.
Deposit cash into the safe in line with security procedures and company policy.
Handle Cash-In-Transit (CIT) collections and related documentation securely.
Record cash received, shortages and surpluses accurately, and report discrepancies immediately.
Capture cash transactions, credit notes and supporting information accurately on the ERP system.

Driver, Invoice and Crate Reconciliations

Maintain accurate records of each driver's cash balance, crate balance and transaction history.
Verify drivers' invoices for accuracy, completeness, customer stamps and signatures.
Follow up on missing documents, shortages, outstanding balances or other discrepancies.
Communicate clearly with drivers regarding cash, crate balances, shortages and required corrections.

Customer Accounts and Bookkeeping

Maintain customer accounts and keep balances, allocations and account notes up to date.
Process customer account queries, statement requests, credit notes and related bookkeeping updates.
Prepare and send customer statements timeously and professionally.
Monitor overdue accounts, follow up with customers for payment, and ensure accounts remain within agreed payment terms.
Liaise with the orders desk and management regarding overdue accounts, including accounts that should be placed on hold or released for delivery.
Maintain accurate records of customer correspondence, payment arrangements and supporting documentation.

Point of Sale, Reporting and Compliance

Balance Point of Sale daily and investigate any discrepancies without delay.
Maintain complete and accurate cash-office, bookkeeping and account records.
Protect confidential cash, customer and financial information at all times.
Maintain a clean, organised and secure work environment.
Review and improve cash-office and account administration processes where practical.
Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

This role requires accuracy, confidentiality, urgency and proactive follow-up. Any financial discrepancies, missing documentation, overdue accounts or payment-risk issues must be escalated to management promptly.

Pay: R8 000,00 - R10 000,00 per month
