UNITS Moving & Portable Storage provides portable storage containers for businesses and residents across Utah. Our commercial containers solve real, time-sensitive problems for a wide range of companies. Restoration companies managing job-site contents, event organizers needing temporary on-site storage, retailers handling seasonal overflow, contractors securing tools and materials, and any business that needs flexible, secure, on-demand space.
We're growing our commercial book of business, and this role is central to that. You'll be the person opening new commercial accounts and keeping them happy enough to keep coming back.
The Role
This is a full-cycle commercial sales role, weighted roughly 70% hunting new business / 30% managing and growing existing accounts. You'll build your own prospect lists, run high-volume outbound (mostly phone), close commercial container contracts, and then own those relationships going forward. You will be successful by following up, spotting repeat-business opportunities, and keeping every detail accurate in our CRM.
We're looking for an organized, disciplined sales person who can run their own pipeline like it's their own business. This is not a junior sales person seat. You should be comfortable initiating conversations cold, handling objections, and carrying a deal from first call to signed contract.
What You'll Do
- Build your own pipeline. Research and build targeted prospect lists of commercial accounts: restoration companies, event organizers, retailers, contractors, property managers, and any business that can use portable storage.
- Make 40+ outbound calls every day, supplemented with email outreach, to open new commercial accounts.
- Run the full sales cycle: qualify, present, handle objections, and close commercial container contracts.
- Own existing relationships. Follow up consistently with current commercial customers, anticipate their needs, and grow repeat and expansion business.
- Keep the CRM (GoHighLevel) immaculate. Log every call, update every opportunity, and track every follow-up so nothing slips. Organization is non-negotiable in this role.
- Take on additional sales projects as they come up. Outreach campaigns, list-building initiatives, follow-up sequences, and other growth work.
- Hit and exceed targets for new accounts opened, contracts closed, and pipeline activity.
What You'll Need
- 2+ years of B2B or outside sales experience, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Near-native US English — clear, confident, and natural on the phone with American business customers. This is essential.
- Genuine hunter mentality — comfortable with cold outbound, self-sourced prospecting, and high call volume.
- Strong organization and follow-up discipline. You track everything, you don't drop balls, and you keep your pipeline clean.
- CRM proficiency (GoHighLevel experience is a plus; comfort with any CRM and a willingness to learn ours is required).
- Self-direction. You can run your own list-building, manage your own day, and operate with minimal handholding.
- Reliable remote setup — quiet workspace, strong internet, fast computer, and a good headset for full-day calling.
Nice to Have
- Experience selling to restoration, construction, events, logistics, or other service-based commercial accounts.
- Familiarity with portable storage, moving, equipment rental, or related industries.
- Experience building lead lists from scratch (e.g., using prospecting or scraping tools).
Compensation & Structure
- Base: $1,000–$2,000 USD/month (final offer depends on experience).
- Commission: Uncapped, you earn on every commercial container order you bring in. Strong closers earn well above base.
- Contract: Independent contractor, full-time, with continuation based on performance.
