We are growing our digital team and we are looking for a Junior SEO Specialist who can help us grow our organic presence, improve our technical foundation, and produce content that ranks and converts in one of the most competitive niches online.
The Role
You will work closely with our founding team to build and execute an SEO strategy that covers both content and technical SEO across ghosttraders.co. Our site operates in the financial and trading education space, which means content quality, E-E-A-T signals, and technical accuracy are non-negotiable.
This is a hands-on role. You will be expected to handle keyword research, on-page optimisation, content briefs, technical audits, and performance reporting. You will not be handed a rigid playbook. We expect you to understand the why behind every decision and communicate it clearly.
What You Will Do
- Conduct keyword research and build content strategies targeting traders at different levels of experience
- Write and optimise blog posts, landing pages, and product pages for both search intent and readability
- Perform regular technical SEO audits covering site speed, crawlability, indexation, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals
- Manage on-page optimisation across the site including meta titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, and internal linking
- Monitor and report on organic performance using Google Search Console and Google Analytics
- Identify and fix technical issues that affect rankings including broken links, duplicate content, redirect chains, and page speed problems
- Collaborate with the content and design team to ensure new pages are built with SEO best practices from the start
- Build and maintain an internal linking structure that distributes authority across the site effectively
- Stay current with Google algorithm updates and assess their impact on GhostTraders content and rankings
- Support link building efforts through outreach, content partnerships, and digital PR
What We Are Looking For
- 1 to 5 years of experience in SEO, covering both technical and content disciplines
- Solid understanding of how search engines crawl, index, and rank content
- Hands-on experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics
- Familiarity with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Screaming Frog
- Experience optimising content on WordPress including working knowledge of Yoast SEO or Rank Math
- Strong writing skills with the ability to produce content that reads naturally while meeting SEO requirements
- Understanding of E-E-A-T principles and how they apply to financial and YMYL content
- The ability to explain SEO concepts clearly to team members who are not SEO specialists
- Good written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAdvantageous
- Experience implementing UI designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with financial products, fintech, or trading platforms
- Understanding of Smart Money Concepts or institutional trading methodology
- Experience designing for SaaS or subscription-based products

- Experience with schema markup and structured data implementation
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS as they relate to on-page SEO

- Understanding of affiliate SEO and monetisation through organic traffic
