Pepkor Speciality is excited to announce that we are seeking to employ an e-Commerce Manager who will be responsible for effectively managing our e-Commerce department, which includes our Web Development team and E-commerce Distribution teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and driving the execution of the eCommerce strategy, to ensure the sustainable business growth of the E-commerce department together with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers. Direct and manage the operational activities which includes the distribution centres, customer contact centre and web development and integrated systems.
- Drive and facilitate the development of a strategy for Speciality eCommerce department in conjunction with internal stakeholders (retail brands, digital marketing departments, supply chain departments, Pepkor Group initiatives)
- Implement the strategy within an agreed budget and allocated resources.
- Create, forecast and manage the budgets for the E-commerce department within the financial processes of the company
- Establish and maintain required reporting and data analytics to ensure processes enabling relevant weekly or monthly reporting covering various areas within the e-Commerce department
- Management of overall Operational function of the E-commerce function relating to:
- Warehousing & Logistics
- Systems & Web Development
- Customer Service
- Partner with and manage various stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
- Lead, motivate and manage a team of Web Developers and Distribution Centre operations.
- Tertiary qualification/Degree within Supply Chain Management
- 5 - 8 years experience in E-commerce operations and Web systems and development, with a minimum of 3 years experience leading and managing people
- Good understanding and knowledge of e-Commerce and supply chain operations and related KPI’s, measurements and drivers
- Proficiency in the latest G Suite packages and Advanced Excel in Microsoft packages
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to be able to engage with multiple stakeholders and drive and lead a team.
- A strong logical thinking and analytical ability with excellent numerical skills and the ability to be accurate and pay attention to detail.
- Has a high energy level and is performance-driven and deadline-orientated.
- Excellent planning, organizing and time management skills.
- Ability to remain flexible, function under pressure and maintain a positive attitude and work performance in a variety of circumstances.
- Ability to multi-task and to deal with complexities, use initiative to solve problems.
- Ability to work independently, as well as be a team player.
- Will be required to travel to multiple locations for meetings and therefore requires own transport
