Main purpose of the position
- Respond to changing commercial demands of the organization and its business environment
- Assist and support Supplier and Development Enterprise projects
- Develop procurement strategies that are innovative and cost effective
- Apply the latest technology and regulations to control the streamlined sourcing and purchasing of inventory
- Manage all areas related to contractual arrangements, including SLA’s
- Demonstrate excellent negotiation skills and are commercially astute
- Work as part of a team or individually to deliver high quality standards.
Qualification, Education, Requirements & Knowledge
- BCom Degree or equivalent
- Supply Chain Management / Logistics qualification would be advantageous
- Minimum of 5 years commercial contracts experience in a corporate environment
- Minimum of 5 years procurement experience in a corporate environment
- Working knowledge of the legal environment relating to procurement contracts and framework agreements
- Excellent analytical ability with strong written and oral communication skills
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word applications, or similar
