As the leading recruiter in South Africa, our client is seeking a qualified RN Midwife, who will be responsible for providing high-quality midwifery care to women and their newborns, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, in a safe and supportive environment. The candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for mothers and their babies.

Responsibilities

Providing comprehensive midwifery care to women and their newborns in accordance with best practice guidelines and protocols.
Conducting antenatal assessments, monitoring fetal well-being, and managing complications as they arise.
Managing the intrapartum period, including conducting deliveries, managing pain, and providing emotional support to the mother.
Conducting postnatal assessments, monitoring newborns for signs of distress, and providing support and education to new parents.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and communicating effectively with other members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

Registered as an RN Midwife with the South African Nursing Council.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in midwifery practice.
Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of best practice in midwifery care.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide emotional support to women and their families.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
