The Sales Executive builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships. The role entails the planning, development, organization and management of all aspects of business development including sales and marketing within the region of Johannesburg, South Africa. The role is target-driven, and the Sales Executive will be accountable for achieving his/her target.
Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Business, Marketing, or related field
Minimum 3 years of proven Sales Executive experience
Successful track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets
Strong networking and relationship-building skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Analytical skills for market trend analysis and effective sales strategies
Proficient in preparing and delivering sales presentations
Knowledge of the South African market, specifically in Johannesburg
Familiarity with television distribution industry is advantageous
Effective organizational and time management capabilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
Understanding of financial aspects in sales, including pricing and contracts
Experience collaborating with the finance department on invoicing and collections
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
Duties and Responsibilities:
Build market position through locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships
Plan, develop, organize, and manage all aspects of business development, including sales and marketing in the Johannesburg region, South Africa
Be target-driven, accountable for achieving set targets
Network with potential clients, customers, television distribution channels, and corporate entities
Meet revenue targets within operational costs
Ensure consistent achievement of monthly sales targets
Manage relationships with clients and agencies
Develop and deliver sales presentations on company activities and market trends
Maintain up-to-date information on company activities and market trends
Make regular sales calls, follow up on leads
Prepare quotations and contracts, liaise with finance and advertising departments for monthly backups
Provide timely, effective services to clients, managing client accounts efficiently
Offer client servicing updates to management and team regularly
Coordinate with the finance department for receivables collection, attaching monthly invoices to sales contracts
Assist the finance department as needed in collecting due payments from clients
Liaise with marketing function to align marketing efforts with client requirements
Submit weekly and quarterly reports on sales and marketing to line managers
Assist with participation at events and conferences
Manage implementation of policies and strategies for business development in South Africa
Stay updated on the latest events and business news in the region
Identify trendsetter ideas through industry research and tracking individual accomplishments
Propose potential business deals by contacting partners and exploring opportunities
Screen potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials
Develop negotiating strategies by studying the integration of new ventures with company strategies
Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts
Protect the organization's value by maintaining confidentiality
